Dr. Sabrina Atkins is the founder and owner of Orlando Sports Chiropractic. Located in Southwest Orlando, Orlando Sports Chiropractic is the premier center for sports injury management, and optimal sports performance. Within the scope of her practice, Dr. Sabrina is able to offer spinal and extremity chiropractic treatment, cold laser therapy, physical modalities, and physical therapies. Her passion is working with athletes and aiding in peak human performance.
In 2020, she was chosen by the NBA to serve as the Official Chiropractic Physician for the NBA Bubble where she served as the sole chiropractic physician for the 22 NBA teams remaining in the 2020 season through the NBA Finals.
Dr. Atkins studied for her Bachelor’s of Science, Masters of Sports Injury Management, and Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life University in Marietta, Georgia where she graduated with honors.
Dr. Atkins has extensive experience working with athletes and athletic organizations offering years of expertise in the field of sports injury management and sports performance.
Her involvement in team sports began with the women’s basketball team at Life University, with whom she traveled during her internship for her Masters of Sports Injury Management. She was the first student to initiate travel for treatment during athletic events through Life University. This pivotal milestone assisted in launching and developing a program for chiropractic students allowing them to provide treatment during athletic events. This not only assists in the advancement of their hands-on experience, but also provides a platform for educating athletes about sports chiropractic.

Her involvement also includes associations with several other sports venues and events, including DEW Action Sports Tour, USA Taekwondo, USA Judo, Disney Marathon, International Softball Federation, ProSport, Professional Rodeo Association and the Baja 1000 racing teams.
She served as the Medical Director for the Sunshine State Games, Florida’s largest amateur sport competitions, for 4 years. Dr. Atkins is the former President of the FCA Sports Council; has served as Vice President of Florida Sports Council; and received Doctor of the year award from the Southeastern Circuit of ProSport. She was recognized as a nominee for Orlando Sports Council Chiropractic Physician of the Year award four years in a row and has been honored with the Tender Care award from the Orlando Ballet.
She was honored locally by the Orlando Business Journal as a recipient of one of the 40 Under 40 awards where business professionals, and entrepreneurs under 40 are recognized for their achievements.
Dr. Atkins has been recognized for her involvement with Professional Sports Teams in the Florida Chiropractic Association Journal issue: WOMEN IN SPORTS CHIROPRACTIC as well as Chiropractic Economics for her work in the NBA BUBBLE.
Dr. Atkins was an athlete herself with an extensive list of sports and activities. Her sports included softball, tennis, track & field, and wrestling. She was the first female on the varsity wrestling team at her high school -another trail she blazed, paving the way for other female wrestlers and encouraging the development of female wrestling teams. She now enjoys running, yoga, acro-yoga, and she is an avid hiker and outdoorsman.
She has been a member of the Florida Chiropractic Association since 2001. In 2019, Dr. Atkins embarked on lecturing for the Florida Chiropractic Association. She was invited to lecture with Doctors of Chiropractic in Sports (DOCS) which highlights chiropractic physicians that work with professional sports organizations. She was chosen to represent female chiropractors in professional sports. She has continued lecturing and teaching on ethics in sports chiropractic, risk management, as well as treatment techniques and strategies. She has developed her own techniques evolved from the 25+ years of experience she has with manual chiropractic techniques and is developing a teaching platform that she plans to launch in 2025.
Her heart is full, practicing her passion for sports chiropractic and enjoying every minute being a Mom to her daughter, Bella; with her loving partner, Ryan by her side!
